GALA DINNER

The conference finished on a WOW note with duo extra-ordinaire Vicki Lee and Karl Perigo providing the gala dinner entertainment. Everyone enjoyed an evening of comedy, music, dancing and the unexpected. We were all wowed by this fabulous duo.
Vicki Lee has been entertaining New Zealand audiences for well over twenty five years with a variety of genre styles from the 50’s era to current day - including pop classics, rock & roll and light classical. Vicki’s career has seen her work internationally in Australia, Samoa, Fiji and Las Vegas.
The late Sir Howard Morrison, whom Vicki often toured with, said, “Why would I take a symphony orchestra when I can have Vicki and her key

board?” Dame Malvina Major, recognising Vicki Lee and Karl Perigo’s extensive musical talents, invited them to tour New Zealand with her in 2009 and 2010.
Karl, known as much for his distinctive socks and fun-loving antics as his amazing singing voice, has sung alongside other stars such as Sir Howard Morrison, Ray Wolfe, Liz Mitchell (Boney M), and Michael Barrymore. “One day I'll sing opera’, says Karl. ‘The next day I'm a crooner, the next I'm doing rock `n roll.” His theatrical performances have included Les Miserables, West Side Story and My Fair Lady.
Vicki and Karl’s first album was released in April 2010.
